Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026.
This policy explains how the UPSA website uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), we only use technologies that are not strictly necessary if you agree to them.
What we use
The website currently uses only strictly necessary technologies. We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
upsa-cookie-consent | Local storage (first party) | Remembers your choice on the cookie banner so it is not shown again | Until you clear your browser storage |
upsa-admin | Cookie (first party, secure, HTTP-only) | Keeps authorised UPSA staff signed in to the private enquiries area. Not set for ordinary visitors | 8 hours, or until staff sign out |
Our hosting provider may set technical cookies needed to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse. These are strictly necessary and do not track you across other websites.
The "Ask about WPSA" assistant does not set cookies; its conversation is held only on the open page.
Third-party content
Some document links, such as the product brochure and testing report, open files hosted on other websites, and the LinkedIn icon links to LinkedIn. Those sites may set their own cookies under their own policies once you visit them.
Your choices
You can choose "Accept all" or "Essential only" on the cookie banner. As no optional cookies are currently in use, both choices have the same effect today. If we add optional cookies, such as analytics, they will only be set if you select "Accept all", and we will update this policy first.
To change your choice, reset it below and the banner will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary technologies may stop parts of the site from working.
